Acted as project manager in the performance of a condition survey of 12 factory buildings in the surrounding areas of Bangkok including the supervision of the inspection team, preparation of the reporting format, and production of the final report.

Provided engineering and computer applications services for the Independent Certification Engineer assignment for Sectors A, C1, and B of the Second Stage Expressway project in Bangkok.  Responsibilities included the inspection and approval of structural, mechanical, and electrical systems.  The three Sectors are comprised  of approximately 30 kilometers of elevated concrete carriageways.  Both segmental box girders and I-beam structural systems employed.

 

·        Developed and implemented computer database applications for records management, checking and reporting construction expenditures, tracking of land acquisition, logging and tracking of construction non-conformances, and checking and reporting of expenditures for utility work order

 

·        Responsible for detailed review and approval of construction expenditures on a contract by contract basis for payment authorization.

 

·        Performed review, evaluation, and approval of major construction claims.

 

·        Performed extensive review of test and inspection reports for compliance with contract requirements.

 

Served as Bangkok coordinator for the Independent Design Checker for Sector B of the Second Stage Expressway and the Bang Pa-In Pak Kret Expressway (BPPKE).  The BPPKE project is comprised of approximately 30 kilometers of expressway with half being elevated concrete segmental box girder carriageways and the northern half being at grade highway.  This involved the processing of more than 4000 drawings submitted for design review.

 

·        Responsible for processing and administrative control of all design review activities including review and editing of all design review comments for consistency and correctness.  This also included daily coordination with Project Manager design supervisors.

 

·        Developed and maintained a computer database system for the control of drawing submitted for design review and production of detailed monthly progress and status reports.

 

Provided construction cost and expenditure review and approval for the Technical Advisor assignment for the financial restructuring of the Don Muang Toll way in Bangkok.  The Toll way is comprised of approximately 15 kilometers of elevated concrete carriageways.

 

·        Responsible for the review and approval of all contract invoices for payment authorization in compliance with restructuring requirements.  This included the preparation of formal certificates approving the various invoices.
